NOTICE FOR QUOTATIONS
The City
of
Puyallup is inviting quotations for the
Meeker Creek South Pump Station – Temporary Capacity Improvements. The City is inviting
quotations from all contractors currently registered on the MRSC Small Works
Roster in the Category of: Water Facility Construction, Repair, and Maintenance – Pump
Installation, Inspection, and Maintenance.
Written quotations shall be submitted to the Project Manager, via email, by 2:00 p.m. on Friday,
June 15,
2018. Email containing quotation must clearly state in the subject line: “Meeker Creek South Pump Station –
Temporary Capacity Improvements” and be addressed to the Project Manager Jonathan
Wikander at: jonathanw@ci.puyallup.wa.us.
Hardcopy quotations
will not be accepted.
Quotations shall be on the provided Bid Proposal Form, included in this project manual. All pages of the Bid Proposal Form must be submitted to be considered a complete quotation.
The applicant is responsible for ensuring that digital submittals have been received, bounced emails or
other delivery failure will not justify a late submittal. Digital submittals must be time stamped as sent
prior to 2:00 PM on Friday, June 15, 2018.
Any quotation received after the specified date and time will automatically be rejected and will not
receive any further consideration by the City.
Project Description: The
project entails mechanical and electrical upgrades to the Meeker Creek South
Pump Station, located near the intersection of 10th Ave SW and 14th
Street SW. The existing pump will be removed/salvaged and a new pump with
a slide rail system is to be installed. Electrical upgrades such as a new
control panel and floats are required. In addition, the precast wet well
cap will need to be removed and replaced with a new precast cap and larger
access hatch.
All work shall be complete within forty (40) working days of receiving a Notice to Proceed. All equipment Notice to Proceed shall be
issued on or before 07/19/2018. All work shall be complete by
09/14/18. Time extensions shall not be granted for rainfall days that
prevent work that is already in progress. The City of Puyallup reserves
the right to accept the lowest responsible quotation, reject any or all bids,
and to waive irregularities in the quotations.
Informational Project Meeting:
Interested Contractors are encouraged to attend an
informational project meeting Thursday, 06/07/2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the
project site near 10th Ave SW and 14th St SW. Interested Contractors will have the opportunity to inspect the interior of the wet well and electrical
equipment.

Financing of the Project has been provided, and payment to the Contractor by regular monthly payments for labor and materials furnished will be by City check. The City expressly reserves the right to reject any
and all quotations and to waive minor informalities.
The Engineer’s estimated range for this project is between $100,000 and $150,000.
