The City of Puyallup will nominate a local student to compete for a “Center for Quality Communities Scholarship” offered by the Association of Washington Cities (AWC).
Six students in Washington state will each be awarded a $1,200 scholarship in recognition of their involvement with their community and/or local city government. The AWC Center for Quality Communities promotes municipal leadership development and civic engagement. The Center’s goal is to develop a broad public understanding of how cities and towns work to provide needed services and programs. The Center believes in educating student leaders who care about their communities.
