The City of Puyallup is partnering with the Washington Trails Association (WTA) to build a new 1/8 mile trail segment on Silver Creek. This trail is a missing segment needed to complete the Clarks Creek Loop Trail.
One of WTA's primary missions is to provide volunteer-led trail maintenance and construction work parties. Every year, WTA leads approximately 3,700 volunteers in donating more than 100,000 volunteer hours. The work on Puyallup's Silver Creek trail will be accomplished over two work parties on Friday, February 24th and Saturday, February 25th from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
These work parties are possible due to a grant received by WTA. Thanks to the grant and to the volunteers, the city will receive volunteer labor valued at about $4,000.
