Here's a Great Place to Start

We recommend the Libby app if you aren't sure where to get started. Libby provides access to thousands of ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, and streaming content. If you are using an Amazon tablet (Fire, Kindle, Paperwhite), the equivalent app is called OverDrive. The apps are free and available in the app store for your device. You can also access this resource via the web. Login to the Washington Anytime Library on a browser using your card number and PIN.

The purpose of Access Washington is to promote public service to citizens and businesses by expanding business and citizen access to government services and government information.

Ancestry

Conduct genealogical and local history research in Ancestry Library Edition. This database contains, birth, death, marriage, and other public record information. This resource must be used at the library either on your own device using the Library's wireless network or on one of the public access computers. This link will connect you once you are on the Library's public network. MEDLINE is the National Library of Medicine's (NLM) premier bibliographic database that contains references to journal articles in life sciences, with a concentration on biomedicine.

MEDLINE content is searchable via PubMed and constitutes the primary component of PubMed, a literature database developed and maintained by the NLM National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). App available. 

Merck Manuals

Information on medical topics, symptoms, drugs, procedures, news, and more is written in everyday language. App available.

Washington Administrative Code

The WAC codifies State regulations and arranges them by subject or agency. The online version is updated twice a month.

Washington Talking Book and Braille Library

WTBBL provides audiobooks, Braille editions, and other resources for visually impaired, blind, and learning-disabled individuals. Contact the library to arrange for materials to be sent directly to your home.
