Puyallup Police Explorer Post #530 is a division of Learning for Life’s Law Enforcement Career Exploring program. Law Enforcement Career Exploring is open to young men and women ages 14 to 20 years old with an interest in learning more about careers in the field of Law Enforcement. Law Enforcement Exploring provides educational training programs for young adults on the purposes, mission, and objectives of law enforcement. The program provides career orientation experiences, leadership opportunities, and community service activities. The primary goals of the program are to help young adults choose a career path within law enforcement and to challenge them to become responsible citizens of their communities and the nation.

Puyallup Police Explorers participate in several community programs such as: Chief for a Day, Puyallup Fair, Special Olympics Tip-A-Cop, and National Night Out. Puyallup Police Explorers also ride along with Puyallup Police Officers on a regular basis and attend an Academy where Explores are trained hands-on by police officers and law enforcement professionals. Puyallup Police Explorers participate in local and national competitions and have received such as the recent 1st place win at the Federal Way Challenge in the sniper competition. Puyallup Police Explorers are led by an Explorer Captain and by a Puyallup Police Sergeant and several police officer Advisors.

Explorer Meetings
