The library has a small construction zone in progress that will lead to a large increase in service. The pictures below illustrate the area near the parking lot doors. Before we got our new drive-up book drop, this space was used for after hours book drop-off. It has now been fenced in to prepare the area for the installation of new pickup lockers. The final image is a sample from the Carver County Library in Minnesota of a similar locker system that they have installed.
The new lockers will give patrons the option of picking up their holds 24/7 instead of picking them up in the library lobby. Once the system is installed and tested, we will provide instructions and assistance for using the new lockers. Stay tuned for more information. At this time, we anticipate the lockers to be ready for patron use in early October.
