10th St SE Improvements; E. Main to 450 Ft South

Project Description:

This project is located on 10th St SE, just south of E. Main. The goal is to repair the roadway, replace approximately 250 feet of sewer main, and replace approximately 450 feet of water and stormwater main. The City has contracted with Skillings to design the project and provide engineering services during construction. Construction is anticipated in 2023.

On August 17, an Open House was held at City Hall to present the project and roadway design alternatives. Here is a link to the presentation and a link to the recorded Zoom meeting.

Update as of December 6, 2022

Based on feedback from surrounding property owners, Option 1 was selected to be the roadway design for 10th St SE (see cross section below). Skillings, the City’s consultant, is finalizing the design and coordinating with franchise utilities, such as PSE and CenturyLink/Lumen. Some of the existing franchise utilities are in conflict with the City project and will be moved, such as a PSE pole. That work is anticipated to occur in the first half of 2023.
