Utility Billing Moves to Monthly

You asked, and we listened. Starting in November 2023, all City utility customers will switch to monthly billing. Besides customer demand, we are making the switch for the following reasons.

  • Easier to Budget
  • Consistent Due Date
  • Lower Bill Amount
  • Ability to Plan

In October, customers will receive a notice with instructions on how to set up their account on our new online system. There, customers can view their account and pay their bill, schedule autopay, and other features. For questions and more information, please contact our Utility Billing Division team.

New Utility Rates

Starting in Spring 2023, City utility customers will see an increase in their water, stormwater, and sewer rates. These rate increases come at the recommendation of the Utility Rate Study, which was conducted over the past year by staff and a consultant and was adopted by the City Council in December 2022. Visit our webpage for more information.

Why Does My Sewer Bill Seem High?

Sanitary sewer services are based on your actual water usage (consumption) during the months of December, January 1 through April 30, and May. Your consumption average is used for bills dated June 1 through November 30. The two bills dated between January 1 and April 30 are used to create your consumption average.
