Summary
The Salmon Springs Water Main Replacement project will replace a critical water main, which supplies over half of Puyallup's potable water. The water main was originally installed in the early 1900s, and has exceeded its useful life. Phase 3 of the project continues the main replacement that was accomplished in Phase 2 of the project, which replaced approximately 3,000 linear feet of water main from the City's chlorination site, through a residential neighborhood, and on to Valley Avenue in Sumner. Phase 3 of the Salmon Springs Water Main Replacement is within the City of Sumner's right-of-way. See the project vicinity map below.
