National Night Out Against Crime

Puyallup neighborhoods are encouraged to join thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on Tuesday, August 1st to celebrate the 39th annual National Night Out. The best way to build a safer community it to know your neighbors. Send a message to criminals that your neighborhood is organized and fighting back against crime. There is no registration required. Anyone can host a party, and we think everyone should! Here are six great reasons to host a National Night Out gathering:

  1. Enjoy a fun night!
  2. Meet your neighbors. It is important to know who lives in your neighborhood so that you can more easily identify strangers and suspicious people.
  3. Increase your sense of belonging in your neighborhood.
  4. Discuss starting a Block Watch or share ways to strengthen a Block Watch you currently have in place.
  5. Share crime prevention and safety information.

No registration is required to host a neighborhood!
