Warrant Information

Puyallup Municipal Court Instructions to Clear Arrest Warrant

There are many reasons the Court may issue warrants of arrest:

  • Failure to appear for a court date for which you have been summoned; or
  • Failure to comply with court-ordered conditions of sentence; or
  • Failure to appear for a probation appointment; or
  • Probation violations.

What are the options to clear my warrant?

  • Posting the bail or bond (from a licensed bond agent who appears at the clerk’s office for you) in the amount listed on your warrant.  This is the most immediate way to have the warrant recalled from the system, and clear the suspension by Department of Licensing (if it is a criminal traffic case).  Once the cash bail or bond is posted, it is held in trust until your next court date or until the judge orders it be released.
  • Bail or bond may be posted at the clerk’s office front counter (929 E Main, Puyallup) during regular office hours which are Monday or Thursday 8:30 AM to noon, and 1-4:30 PM.
  • If you are represented by an attorney, you must contact the attorney to file with the Court a Motion to Quash Warrant or Note for Motion Hearing.
  • If you are not represented by an attorney (pro se) and unable to post the cash bail or obtain bond, report to the clerk’s office during regular office hours or call the court at (253) 841-5450.  You will be asked to verify your current address and phone number.  You will be assigned a hearing date.
  • The final option would be to surrender yourself to the Puyallup Police Department to be seen in custody on the next custody date located at: 311 W Pioneer in downtown Puyallup.
