This project consists of installing approximately 10,450 linear feet of new stormwater pipe, ranging from 12 to 54 inches in diameter. This new main replacement will increase stormwater conveyance capacity in the downtown area as well as divert the stormwater away from Clarks Creek and allow for direct discharge to the Puyallup River.
At this time the project is being analyzed for how to convey storm water from downtown to the Puyallup River and allow for re-development of the downtown area by upgrading an existing storm system to accommodate the volume.
The first phase of the project, Phase N-1, is currently in final design (April 2022). Construction is anticipated to occur in 2023 & 2024.
