Residential Parking Permit Program

In 2011, new 4-hour timed parking zones and residential parking permits were created to preserve neighborhood parking as a result of the change to Sound Transit commuter parking.

The residential permit parking program applies to all properties along streets with new 4-hour parking zones. Single family residences, duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes and condominium units received 2 parking permits by mail. Additional parking permits are available with evidence that more than 2 vehicles are registered to the address. Multi-family units received 1 permit by mail with additional parking permits available with evidence that more than 1 vehicle is registered to the address.

Commercial, business, school, retirement, and church properties in the 4-hour zones can apply for parking permits for their staff by completing a Business 4-hour Zone Parking application listing their employees and total number of permits required.
