Quick LinksDowntown Parking Changes
On September 20, 2011, the Puyallup City Council adopted a comprehensive Parking Management Plan. Input from public open houses, surveys, and feedback from downtown businesses established a system of timelimits for on street parking and city owned parking lots.
The goals of these changes included:
- Preserving parking in neighborhoods for the residents who live there
- Making downtown parking available for visitors and customers
- Eliminating "chain parking"
City Owned Parking Lots
- Cornforth Campbell Lot - located at 3rd St SE & E Main St has 118 stalls for public parking from 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. If you have a business parking permit, you may park here before 8:30 a.m. Monday - Friday.
- Covered Cornforth Campbell Lot - located at 2nd St SE & E Main has 38 stalls reserved for business parking permit holders only. If you have a business parking permit, you may park here from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday - Friday on a first come, first served basis.
- Hill Lot - located at 2nd St SE & E Pioneer has 36 stalls reserved for business parking permit holders only. If you have a business parking permit, you may park here from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday - Friday on a first come, first served basis.
- Community Resource Center Lot - located at N Meridian & E Main has 5 stalls reserved for business parking permit holders only and 6 stalls for 1 hour public parking. If you have a business parking permit, you may park here from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday - Friday on a first come, first served basis. The public can park in the 1 hour parking stalls on a first come, first served basis.
- Activity Center Lot - located at 3rd St SW & W Pioneer has 37 stalls reserved for business parking permit holders (designated with white stripes). If you have a business parking permit, you may park here from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday - Friday on a first come, first served basis. The designated blue striped stalls are reserved for City employee parking and the Activity Center.
- Pioneer Lot - located at 2nd St SW & W Pioneer, across from the Post Office has 38 stalls for public 2 hour parking on a first come, first served basis.
- Library Parking Lot - located at 4th Ave SW & 3rd St SW is reserved for visitor parking for the Library and Pioneer Park Pavilion.
- City Hall Lot - located at 333 S Meridian has 219 stalls on the surface parking and first floor garage open to the public. The second floor parking garage is reserved for city employees. No Sounder commuter parking.
Commuter Parking
The Sound Transit lease on the Cornforth/Campbell commuter lot, located at 3rd St SE & E Main ended on September 30th, 2011. Commuter parking is available at the Sounder Train Station lot, the WWF Red lot and the South Hill Park & Ride.
Pierce Transit routes 400 and 495 have shuttles available to and from the satellite lots to the Puyallup Sounder Station.
