The City has issued downtown business parking permits to businesses in the downtown core on a first come, first-served basis for several years. These permits were used to secure parking in the parking lot on 2nd ST SE known as the "Covered Campbell/Cornforth" Lot.
On September 20,2011 the City Council opened other city-owned parking lots to business parking permits. Instead of 38 stalls in the Covered lot, there will be a total of 110 stalls in various lots. These lots include:
In addition, business permits will allow employees to park in the Cornforth lot at 2nd St. SE & E. Pioneer before 8:30 a.m.

Parking in these lots are on a first-come, first-served basis.
Who can apply for Downtown Business Parking Permits?Downtown business employers may apply for downtown business parking permits for their employees by filling out a business parking permit application. Bring the form and the $20 annual fee per permit requested to the 2nd floor Permit Counter at City Hall, 333 S. Meridian. The permit is good for one year and can be used at any of the business permit parking lots listed above. The permit is non-transferrable and should not be sold or given away. The permit can only be used for the registered verhicle(s) listed on the application.
