General Instructions

To best match your skills and experience with volunteer opportunities, please fill this form out as completely as possible. Any information furnished on this form will be used to contact, interview and place volunteers. If you are accepted as a volunteer the city requires you to submit to a Washington State Patrol background check and before you begin a volunteer assignment, you and your supervisor will be required to sign a volunteer agreement.

Generally, the city of Puyallup does not accept volunteers under the age of 14. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the volunteer agreement.

Those seeking court-assigned community service are not qualified under this volunteer process. If you are looking for Court ordered community service at the City of Puyallup, contact Ron Orchard at 841-5404 or Randy Chandler, 841-5546.

To best match your skills, experience and education with volunteer opportunities at the City of Puyallup, please briefly tell us about yourself.
   

If there are volunteers opporunties for which you qualify, you will be called for an interview which will help to further determine where there is a good volunteer match. If so, the city will need to check references and conduct a WSP background check before a volunteer contract can be offered.

As part of this background check, the city will also need you to furnish three references who are not relatives. These references will only be contacted if you are being considered for a volunteer assignment.
