Volunteer Opportunities at the City

These departments have opportunities for on-going volunteers:

Puyallup Police Department VIPS
Volunteers In Police Service (VIPS) members help to staff the front counter, do citizen patrol and more.  Contact the Problem Oriented Policing Unit at (253) 253-770-3351. to get involved or contact the POP Unit by email

Metro Animal Control and Adoptions
The animal shelter accepts volunteers who are dedicated and willing to work with animals on a long-term basis.  No short-term volunteers please.  For more information contact Officer Ellis at 841-5595 or contact Officer Ellis by email.

Puyallup Parks and Recreation
The City of Puyallup Parks and Recreation Department greatly appreciates the many volunteers who help to make special events such as the Annual Halloween Haunted Hayride and Halloween Carnival a success. Contact Lona Graves, Recreation Supervisor for Special Events (253) 841-5515 or Sarah Harris, Recreation Supervisor for Athletic Events (253) 841-5518.  If you're unable to donate your time but would like to help, event sponsorship is a great way.  Call Parks and Rec for more information on how to sponsor an event at 841-5457 or contact Puyallup Parks and Recreation by email.
