July 2011 Rain Garden Installation - 7th Avenue NW and Wilson Drive
Returning to the well-draining soils of NW Puyallup, the second installation cluster of 2011 was completed July 23, 2011 in the neighborhood of 7th Ave NW and Wilson Drive. This cluster included the installation of six rain gardens and two rain barrels.
The City of Puyallup received support from several organizations for this installation. Funding was provided by an Ecology
Capacity Grant; Pierce Stream Team
provided volunteer coordination, catch basin marking, and installation assistance; landscape architecture was contracted with Robert W. Droll Landscape Architecture PS
; construction was completd by Soundview Landscaping
and included donated time to complete the project; rain barrels and installation were donated by Dan Borba of Down to Earth Gadgets and Gizmos
