How to Get Involved

The Clarks Creek Initiative includes several local organizations including WSU-Puyallup, City of Puyallup, Pierce County, Puyallup Tribe of Indians, and is supported by several local citizen groups. The primary focus of this group is to provide a setting for information sharing of data and projects  underway in the Clarks Creek Watershed.

Various projects are centered on the creek including studies, monitoring, restoration efforts and research. Sharing of information, data, and in-stream monitoring equipment creates an environment for increased possibilities and efforts on restoring and protecting Clarks Creek.

The EPA, Region 10, selected the Clarks Creek Initiative as the recipient of the 2011 Green Infrastructure Community award. This award recognized one organization in each of the EPA's 10 regions which exemplified collaborative and forward-thinking efforts to project and restore their respective watersheds.
