Puyallup Police Department can conduct backgrounds checks for law enforcement purposes only. To complete a background check for employment or other purposes the Washington State Patrol may be able to assist with their Washington Access To Criminal History (WATCH) program.
By law, you must have a concealed pistol license (CPL) when you are: carrying a pistol concealed on your person or carrying or placing a loaded pistol in a vehicle.
Concealed Pistol Licenses (CPL) can be completed by Puyallup Police Department for residents of the city of Puyallup only. To apply for your concealed pistol license you must fill out the application which can be picked up at Puyallup Police Department during business hours and be fingerprinted. Fingerprinting occurs Thursday on a walk-in basis from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. It may take up to 30 days after fingerprining to receive your license. Bring your completed application with you when you get fingerprinted.
