Planning Services
The purpose of the Planning Division is to accomplish the following goals for the City and its citizens:
- Preserve and enhance the existing character of the City.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all citizens and land owners.
- Guide and regulate community growth and development in a way that protects environmental resources and improves quality of life.
- Ensure all land use and development activities occurring within the City conform to the adopted codes and ordinances.
- Plan for future growth of the city, both population and physical boundaries.
- Work with the Planning Commission and City Council to develop land use regulations and amendments to the Comprehensive Plan.
