The Development Services Department was established to centralize all development related services into a single department. Our department is a team of 29 dedicated professionals, who work on behalf of the City of Puyallup to provide you with the absolute best customer service in planning, engineering, building, permitting, fire prevention and code enforcement.

Our team cares about the people and projects that come into the City of Puyallup. We appreciate your desire to invest in our community and take very seriously our role to help you succeed. We strive to discover, communicate, and implement solutions, rather than simply finding reasons to deny projects.

Development Services is here to serve you with entitlement and permitting processes that are efficient, predictable, and transparent, with no surprises along the way, and services that are both timely and accurate.
