If you live outside of the incorporated city limits of Puyallup, Sumner, Bonney Lake or Edgewood, you may still adopt, however we cannot license your new pet. You may license your pet through Pierce County or the city/county in which in you reside.

Licensing: We license dogs and cats living in the incorporated portions of Bonney Lake, Edgewood, Sumner and Puyallup. You may also purchase your dog or cat license at your city hall if you live in Bonney Lake, Edgewood or Sumner. All pets require a license within 30 days of moving into the city whether or not they go out of doors. License fees are set by the city council and vary for each city. Please inquire for your city's rates. Licenses are issued on a twelve month renewal system. There is no pro-rating.
