This Independence Day, Central Pierce Fire & Rescue and the Puyallup Police Department urge residents to celebrate safely. Abiding by fireworks laws and following the safety tips below will help prevent fireworks related injuries, stop fires from occurring, and ensure a safe and happy 4th for all! Legal and Illegal Fireworks: Figuring out which fireworks are legal can be tricky business.

Use only consumer fireworks sold by licensed fireworks stands in the City of Puyallup.
It is illegal to possess or discharge firecrackers, sky rockets, bottle rockets, and missiles outside of Tribal Lands.
Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) are illegal everywhere. It is a criminal offense to possess, manufacture or used IEDs. Click to view Examples of Legal and Illegal fireworks.
Date/Time: Fireworks can only be discharged on July 4th from 9 am – 11 pm within Puyallup City Limits.

Fireworks Emphasis Patrols: The Puyallup Police Department and Central Pierce Fire & Rescue will be conducting additional Fireworks Emphasis Patrols in the City of Puyallup on July 3rd and 4th. Any illegal fireworks will be confiscated. Citizens found to be in possession of illegal fireworks may be subject to a citation and/or a fine.

Fireworks Hotline: Report the illegal use or sale of fireworks at (253) 841-5431
