An elder-friendly community is one that provides opportunities for people to ‘age in place’ or to live in their home as long as desired by making resources available for day-to-day living. In addition to basic needs such as housing, safety and food, Puyallup strives to promote civic engagement for residents of all ages and to provide resources that maximize well-being and independence for senior citizens.In addition to accessible parks, public transportation options, and state-of-the-art medical facilities, the City of Puyallup offers an array of services, classes, events, and social opportunities every month of the year for older adults.
