Adult Computer Classes

Due to a scheduled software upgrade for our public access computers and the addition of a new, improved catalog, the library will not be offering any computer classes during April.

Computer Basics for Adults
(2-Session Class)

This class is an introduction to the basic skills necessary for using a computer. Since each lesson builds on the previous one, please make sure you are able to attend both classes.

Technology Tutors

Then a Technology Tutor is your answer! Registration is required and can be made by phone or in person. Half hour to one hour sessions are available on:

Introduction to the Internet I 

InternetThis class will introduce you to the Internet and show you how to navigate a web page, use links, add favorites, and some basic search methods. The last part of the class will focus on tips for maintaining Internet safety. Registration is recommended; please call (253.841.5454) or visit the Reference Desk to reserve your seat.

Prerequisite: Class participants must know how to use a mouse and scroll bars in a Windows environment.

Learn the foundations of spreadsheet use in our Excel class. Since each lesson builds on the previous one, please make sure you are able to attend both classes.

Prerequisite: Student must be familiar with the Windows environment and know how to move, copy, and paste test.

Introduction to the Internet II:
Social Media & Privacy
