Teen Summer Reading is Here!
The 2014 teen summer reading program has finished! The program concluded on August 16th. If you met the requirements to receive your program prize - reading 20 hours for a free book and local business passes - you may pick up your prizes up until August 31st. Thank you for participating this summer!
Teens (ages 12 - 19) can register starting Monday, June 2nd. Sign up online using our Summer Reading program, or by visiting the Library.
Reading and Prizes!
Count every hour you spend reading this summer (including comics, magazines, audiobooks, and websites) for a chance to win prizes! For each hour spent reading, you earn Prize Drawing tickets that can be used to enter weekly drawings at the Library, starting June 16th. When you read 15 hours, you'll earn a ticket to a Tacoma Rainiers game for Puyallup Public Library Night on August 20th. Read 20 hours and receive a free book. Teens who read 30+ hours become eligible to spend a night in the library! And, of course, there are tons of great programs happening throughout the summer.
Programs and Stuff to Do!
Catch a film, meet an author, learn about forensics, play Minecraft, and get crafty! There are lots of free programs just for teens at the Library.
