Real Resumes
2 Session Workshop
Are you having trouble creating a dynamic resume for your job search? The Library is now offering classes for creating your own personal resume on our ResumeMaker software. Participants who complete the two sessions will have a complete personalized resume for effective employment search. We are offering two sets of Real Resumes classes in February. Resume Reviews
The Puyallup Public Library is offering free 20-minute Resume Review sessions to the public. Get advice on how to improve your resume for a more effective job search. These one-on-one personal sessions are offered by a professional with over 20 years of human resources and management experience. Registration is required. Whether you’re just starting your first resume or have been playing the game for a while, if you’re serious about getting hired, this workshop is not to be missed! Learn tips from the pros – WorkSource Pierce staff will give you ‘inside information’ that comes directly from the very hiring managers who will be screening your resume. Targeted Resumes &
Cover Letters Workshop
1 Session Workshop
A targeted resume is tailored to a particular job you're applying for. Learn how to customize your 'standard' resume and cover letter to the specific job skills, abilities, and qualifications the employer is seeking. You will need to bring (1) Job Posting/Description, (2) Hard copy (paper copy) of your resume and (3) An electronic copy of your resume. Registration is required. Indeed
Easy-to-use site that consolidates job listings from both job boards and official company web pages. Covers entire US and has option to automatically email daily listings based on job location and specific keywords in advertisement.
NW Jobs
Online version of want ads section of the Seattle Times. Focused on Seattle area but includes job listings throughout the Puget Sound region.

Links to different commercial job-search websites in the Seattle/Tacoma area.
WorkSource Washington
Job listings throughout Washington state, browseable by county or major city, from the Employment Security Department. You do not need to be receiving unemployment or registered with WorkSource to view listings. Write and post a resume, learn about types of work and education or skills required, search for employers, job fairs, etc.

This Puyallup Library databases offers ResumeMaker, a resume-writing, job searching, and interview preparation tools for effective employment search.
