Jun. 1, 2010 at 11:56am Make a Splash - READ!!!

Despite how the weather feels outside, I can definitly tell that Summer is almost here. Why?  Because today is the first day that children and teens can sign up for Summer Reading!

Officially speaking, the Summer Reading program starts on June 14 and runs through August 21.  But here at the Puyallup Public Library we let the young people get a head start on their summer reading.  Starting today, children and teens can come in to register for the Summer Reading program.  Just for signing up they get a reading log to keep track of their hours read, a calendar of summer events, and a free coupon for bowling at Daffodil Bowl.  Don't forget, children who are too young to read by themselves can still participate!  We also count time spent being read to (by another person or audio book).

So take the plunge this summer.  Bring your family to the library to sign up for the Summer Reading program.  Then ride the wave of fun all summer long @ your library!
