Need a good excuse to get your child to practice reading aloud? Well then, the Puyallup Public Library has your solution! Scarlet the therapy dog is coming
Scarlet the therapy dog will be coming to the library on Friday, November 19 and Friday, December 10 (3:30 to 4:30 pm on both dates). Scarlet loves listening to kids reading aloud to her. Sometimes listening to a good book is even better than a belly rub. Scarlet is a well trained French Mastiff who is very fond of company. The best part of all, she doesn't care if the child reading to her makes a mistake. She just adores the sound of reading practice aimed specifically at herself.
Scarlet is available on a first come basis. No reservations required. Ask at the Children's Desk for more information. And remember, always ask the dog's handler before touching any dog.
