The process of writing can be difficult for children and adults. But it can also be fun and rewarding. Author Chellis Jensen comes to the library on Friday, July 30 at 3 pm to talk about her book Mrs. Annathena Gilly Gully from Puddle Rumple Tilly Willy. A children's author comes to talk
Having recently published her first book in October 2009, Chellis, at age 74, has gone from housewife and entertainer, boat restorer and house builder, to watching a children’s story become a published reality. Anyone who has ever written a story and published or wanted to publish will understand Chellis’ pile of drafted manuscripts and rejection letters from publishers and agents. A hastily created short story for a granddaughter in 2007 has now become a larger story for children everywhere.
Chellis will share excerpts from her story and talk about her years of writing as a hobby that eventually led to that of a published author.
