Telephone Tax Business Report
Our current rate is 2.2%. As defined by Puyallup Municipal Code Chapter 5.10, telephone business reports and payments are due 1/31, 3/31, 5/31, 7/31, 9/30, 11/30 for the preceding two-month period. Payments may be made on a monthly basis also.
Gambling Tax Report
Quarterly Gambling Tax Form - Commercial Enterprises (Punchboard/Pulltab) - 10% of Net Receipts; (Bingo/Raffle) - 5% of Adjusted Gross Receipts; (Card Games) 20% of Gross Receipts
Quarterly Gambling Tax Form - Charitable/Not for Profit Enterprises (Punchboard/Pulltab) 10% of Net Receipts; (Bingo/Raffle) 5% of Net Receipts; (Card Games) 20% of Gross Receipts
When submitting remittance, please attach a copy of the State Gambling Commission Report for this period. In accordance with Puyallup Municipal Code Chapter 5.68, gambling taxes are due quarterly by the 20th day of the month following the end of each calendar quarter. Failure to pay taxes owed by the due date will result in the assessment of a penalty of 5% of the taxes due per month.
Utility Tax Report
This form includes the following: Furnishing electricity, carrying or furnishing natural or manufactured gas, furnishing water/sewer service, furnishing garbage or refuse collection, furnishing garbage or recycling service (public).
Our current rates are described in the attachment. As defined by Puyallup Municipal Code Chapter 5.08, reports and payments shall be due and payable in monthly installments. At the discretion of the Finance Director, businesses may be assigned a quarterly or annual reporting period depending on the tax amount owing or type of tax. Tax payments are due on or before the last business day of the next month following the end of an assigned reporting period covered by the return.
Admissions Tax Report
Our rate is 5% on all paid admissions for any event held within the City of Puyallup, in accordance with Puyallup Municipal Code Chapter 5.40. Admissions taxes are due at the conclusion of the event. Failure to pay the admission tax within 30 days of the event will result in a penalty of 5% per month.
