Emergency Kits, Expert Speakers, and Preparedness Information.
Emergency Kits of all kinds and items to complete your families emergency kits. Having a kit for your home and car will save stress and anguish during a disaster. Free Bike helmets will be given to children under the age of 13 while supplies last and in conjunction helmet fittings provided by MultiCare Good Sam Hospital Medical Core. Come see the variety of items available to help your family prepare.
The Fire Safety House will be set up to teach children how to safely escape a home fire provided by the Dupont Fire Department and fire extinguisher training by Central Pierce Fire Department.
Vendors will be on-site, providing information and demonstrations on animal preparedness, food preparedness, water and first aid sources, home protection and repairs, disaster medical response, emergencies utilities, and mini classes. A few of our vendors are: Costco, Century Link, State Farm Insurance, American Red Cross, Medical Reserve Corps, Water Department, Animal Response Team, Cabelas, Fire King, Servpro, Whistles For Life, Les Swab, H&H Supply, Pet Co, Washington Army National Guard, Washington State Patrol, Airlift NW and many more.
Guest Speakers will present on topics such as Survival in the Outdoors, FEMA information on Floods, Home Depot home repair classes and preparedness, Mt. Rainier- New and Surprising Facts, National Weather Service Winter Weather Outlook, Search and Rescue Techniques, Business Continuity, Flood Insurance, Why or Why Not? and more! Presentations will be taking place at various times throughout the day and will be advertised on the web site.
