Economic Development Strategy

This Economic Development Strategy represents the results of a seven-month study conducted by TIP Strategies, as well as input from the City Council, the City Manager, city staff and the Puyallup Economic Development Strategy Task Force. This strategy outlines and defines the City of Puyallup's economic development vision, goals, strategies, and tactics to achieve the goals.

EZRA

EZRA stands for "Easy Rider Area," a proposed bus rapid transit line that could connect historic Downtown Puyallup to South Hill.  The proposal is part of the city's LIFT program as described in the 2008 grant.  In the 2010 Federal budget, the city was awarded $1.5 million for a feasibility study.  That study will identify design, preferred and alternative route, and cost to develop the project. 

Transit Oriented Development

Another initiative that came out of the city's LIFT proposal is an emphasis on transit oriented development in the downtown core.  Read the Transit Oriented Development Study.
