Provide direction to staff regarding proposed amendments to the Puyallup Municipal Code related to residential sign allowances and downtown freestanding signage.
Background
At City Council direction, staff is presenting Planning Commission recommended sign code amendments individually. On April 17th, the City Council reviewed proposed electronic sign code amendments. Now, for May 1st, the City Council will consider residential sign allowances and downtown freestanding signage. Please see the attached staff memo for additional background. An actual ordinance implementing these amendments will be presented following council consideration of these individual topics.
