Approve and accept the work completed by DLB Earthwork Company to install 15 speed tables in four neighborhoods along 21st Street SE, 27th Avenue SE, Manorwood Drive SE, and Brookmonte Drive SE.
Background
In August 2012, four neighborhood meetings were held in response to petition requests received from residents in the areas of 21st Street SE, 27th Avenue SE, Manorwood Drive SE, and Brookmonte Drive SE. At the meetings, city staff outlined various options available to the neighborhoods to address concerns with speeding vehicles. These options included speed tables, traffic circles, speed display signs, chokers, etc.  The overwhelming preference from residents who attended these meetings was the installation of speed tables.

Following the meetings, the city awarded a contract to DLB Earthwork Company to install 15 speed tables in these four neighborhoods. DLB Earthwork Company completed this work in August of 2013.
