Seven classes will be offered on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 8:30 pm, starting March 20th – May 1st, 2019. Two Saturday sessions will be scheduled.  Graduation will be held on May 8th. Class size is limited. Applications must be received by February 28th, 2019.

Citizens’ Academy is a program designed to provide interested citizens, who either reside or work in the City of Puyallup, an opportunity to learn firsthand about the Puyallup Police Department. The purpose of the Citizens’ Academy is to increase the understanding between the department and the citizens of Puyallup through education to familiarize them with the various facets of the Puyallup Police Department and its role in the Criminal Justice system. Citizens will learn through a variety of classroom presentations as well as experience an opportunity to ‘ride along’ with an officer during their patrol.
