Bells will ring out across Puyallup at on November 11th to help commemorate the end of World War I.
The World War I Centennial Commission has coordinated a national bell ringing on November 11th to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the first world war. At 11:00 on November 11th, All Saints Catholic Parish will ring its bells 21 times. The bell on the Puyallup Library's clock tower will also be rung, and other locations may also participate as they are able.
Tolling of bells is a traditional way to express honor and remembrance. On November 11th, the 21 tolls will serve as the peaceful equivalent of a 21-gun salute.
