2016 is Puyallup's third year as a Tree City USA! in April of 2016, the City of Puyallup was again recognized by the Arbor Day Foundation and WA State Department of Natural Resources as a Tree City USA. Thirty new threes were planted by community volunteers at Bradley Lake Park.
Puyallup's Urban Forest is comprised of trees, gardens, green spaces, and other natural areas. Puyallup's Urban Forest provides a myriad of benefits - from intercepting storm water, conserving energy, cleaning the air, beautifying our city, improving health - making our communities cleaner, safer, and healthier while reducing the costs associated with many other services. Managing, monitoring, and enhancing this important resource is critical to community character, sustained economic development and environmental health.
